01 - OVERVIEW
MBNA started operations in 1997 and currently operates in Canada as a division of TD Bank. It's well known for offering cards in partnership with professional associations, educational institutions, sports teams, and non-profit organizations, thus enabling them to connect with their members and supporters.

Recognizing the necessity for a digital solution to enhance customer service, the UGO accelerator team was askedo developed and deployed a app for MBNA, ensuring their clients received the seamless support they require.

02 - BACKGROUND
Originally, MBNA offered just a website, tailored mainly for desktop users, to handle online banking needs like viewing balances and making payments.

This format, however, didn't quite match the convenience demanded by younger customers who preferred the convenience of mobile banking.

Recognizing the shift towards mobile usage, MBNA identified the need for a more accessible and agile mobile app to satisfy the modern customer's expectations for quick and easy banking services.

To swiftly meet the demand for mobile banking, we targeted a minimal viable product with essential features: streamlined account access, transaction capability, and robust security.

Our focused approach aimed to quickly deliver a functional and intuitive app, laying the groundwork for future enhancements based on user engagement.

We performed a focused competitive analysis, evaluating top financial apps to understand market trends and user expectations. This examination highlighted key features and common user grievances, informing our MVP's design to ensure it was competitive and addressed market gaps effectively.
